Ingredients
  

Bread Base
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup mashed ripe avocado about 2 medium avocados
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup for sweetness
  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the honey (or maple syrup), milk, and vanilla extract to the mashed avocado and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
