Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon water optional for cornstarch mixture

Method
 

Make the Glaze
  1. In a saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer.
  3. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and reduces by half.
  4. If using cornstarch, mix it with water to create a slurry and add it to the saucepan, stirring until the glaze thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool before using.
