Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base
  • 4 slices Italian bread or ciabatta
Filling
  • 4 oz salami chopped
  • 4 oz capicola chopped
  • 4 oz provolone cheese chopped
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini sliced
Dressing
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped salami, capicola, provolone cheese, romaine lettuce, diced tomato, red onion, and pepperoncini.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the chopped filling and toss to combine.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Place a generous amount of the filling mixture onto each slice of Italian bread.
  2. Top with another slice of bread to form a sandwich.
  3. If desired, grill the sandwich on a sandwich press or grill until golden brown and crispy.

Notes
