  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or melting chocolate

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg until well combined.
  3. Sift together the flour and baking powder, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated.
  4. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart. Flatten slightly.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown around the edges. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using short bursts of heat until smooth. Dip half of each biscuit into melted chocolate and place back on parchment paper to set.
