Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
  • ½ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 12 pieces slider buns
  • tartar sauce for serving

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, parsley, chives, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix gently to avoid breaking the crab lumps.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties (about 2 inches wide) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Refrigerate patties for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Toast slider buns in another pan until golden.
  6. Assemble sliders by spreading tartar sauce on each bun, adding a crab cake patty, and topping with any additional desired ingredients.
