  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water (110°F)
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp sea salt

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir into a shaggy dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Punch down the dough, transfer to an oiled baking sheet, stretch to about ½ inch thick, and dimple the surface.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic and Parmesan, then bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
