Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
  • 1 cup buttermilk for marinating
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour for coating
  • 1 tablespoon paprika for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Sides
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes prepared
  • 2 cups green beans steamed

Method
 

Prepare Chicken
  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Fry Chicken
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
  3. Fry chicken in hot oil for about 12-15 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
Serve
  1. Serve fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans.
