Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Kabob skewers (wooden or metal)

Equipment

  • grill
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Kabob Skewers

Method

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken thighs into cubes and add them to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill over medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving space between pieces. Optionally, add vegetables like bell peppers.
  5. Grill skewers for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  6. Serve hot with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
