  • 1 pound fresh snow peas
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Rinse the snow peas under cold water and trim the ends.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, honey or maple syrup, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the snow peas.
  4. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the sauce over the peas and toss to coat. Simmer for another minute.
  6. Serve immediately on a platter, garnished with toasted sesame seeds.
