Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 lbs pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  2. In a bowl, mix all dry rub ingredients together.
  3. Rub the dry mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
Preheat the Grill
  1. Preheat your Pit Boss pellet grill to 225°F (107°C).
Smoke the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs on the grill grates bone side down.
  2. Smoke for 3 hours, maintaining the temperature.
Wrap and Continue Cooking
  1. After 3 hours, wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and return to the grill.
  2. Cook for an additional 1.5 hours.
Add Sauce and Finish
  1. Unwrap the ribs and brush with barbecue sauce.
  2. Cook for another 30 minutes to set the sauce.
  3. Check internal temperature; it should be at least 190°F (88°C).
Serve
  1. Remove ribs from the grill, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes
