Ingredients
  

For the Margarita
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup tequila preferably blanco
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 cups ice crushed or cubed
For Garnish
  • 4 slices lime for rim and garnish
  • 4 strawberries whole for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Margarita
  1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, lime juice, agave syrup, tequila, orange liqueur, and ice. Blend until smooth.
  2. Taste and adjust sweetness with more agave syrup if desired.
  3. Rim the glasses with lime juice and dip in salt or sugar if desired.
  4. Pour the blended mixture into the prepared glasses.
  5. Garnish with lime slices and whole strawberries.

Notes

For a frozen version, use frozen strawberries and blend with additional ice.
