  • 1 can low-sodium chickpeas, drained and rinsed 15 oz
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly; pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil, honey (or maple syrup), cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and salt until well coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned chickpeas in an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crunchy, stirring halfway through.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
