Method
- Form ground beef into four 6-ounce patties, making an indent in the center of each.
- Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat and cook each patty for about 4 minutes per side.
- During the last two minutes of cooking, add cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt.
- While patties are cooking, toast brioche buns until golden brown.
- Assemble by placing the patty on a toasted bun and topping with bacon and a fried egg if desired.
